How do your intentions influence your health?

A number of studies, including Dr Emoto's, suggest that conscious intention may be able to influence the structure of water molecules. The body of an adult averages around 57-60% water content and higher for fitter people.

How do you think, then, intentions influence your body? Following from the above, I feel inclined to say that ...
Our state of consciousness alone may be determining over 50% of our physical health.

We now know that positive mind-states improve both our physical and mental health. Intellectual understanding is not enough, though. We need to embody this knowledge. This is the only way to gain conviction and make a difference to our own health.

There are two basic ways in which you can begin realising these principles with your whole body. 

1) On your own. You can discover the effects of different states of consciousness from the comfort of your own home, at your leisure. All that is required is your undivided attention for a few minutes.

Begin by connecting with your breath by following several complete inhales and exhales. Gently note in your mind how are you feeling. You can assign a numerical value from 1-10 if you want to be more precise. 

Next, play and follow the instructions in this guided loving kindness meditation for at least 10 minutes. At the end, note how are you feeling again. Has the change in your mind state produced an observable change in how you feel?

If you are inspired by the results you can decide to offer this practice to yourself on a regular basis such as once daily or at least once a week. 

Have a glass of cold water at the end to ground yourself ;)

2) With the help of someone else. You may choose to rely on a professional to help you discover how gently changing your state of mind has profound effects on your body.

Offering yourself the kind gift of a Reiki session can clearly demonstrate this to you. Begin by making a mental note of how you feel at the start of the session. A 1-10 scale may be helpful for you.

As the practitioner moves his hands over or gently above your body you will begin experiencing deep relaxation, clarity, and peace. Nothing but the energy of intention is involved. 

At the end of the session check how you feel again. In all likelihood, you will feel much better. 

If what you experience is something you'd like to deepen and cultivate you may choose to visit you practitioner on a regular basis.

Embrace the understanding of what intention does to water and hence to your mind and body. Turn it into embodied knowledge by experiencing it yourself. Enjoy the beneficial effects of positive intentions, yours or these of another on a regular basis.

Choose to be the source of positivity consistently in your life and see what happens.
